Good morning everyone! Just a few reminders about upcoming March and April events at Creek Kids Care.

JFKapnek preschool supply drive

Over the past month, Creek Kids have been collecting preschool supplies for "our" preschool as well as many other preschools in Zimbabwe established by JFKapnek Trust. If you are still interested in furnishing supplies, please see our last newsletter for detailed information. THIS COMING MONDAY, we'll be packing all of the collected supplies, along with additional supplies purchased with CKC funds. Thank you so much to those of you who have donated.

CKC PACK DAY this coming MONDAY 3/10

From 3:45-5:15 at Julie's house: 2785 Acacia Road in Walnut Creek. Feel free to bring packing boxes. If you can make it, please RSVP to Julie at jmiles@srvhs.org. It will be fun and exciting to see the collective impact of all our donations. Please come! Just like our annual delivery to Fresh Start, this event provides tangible evidence of the fruits of our children's labor. It's from days like this they grow to believe that they can, and are, changing the world.

April 13th JF Kapnek Fun Run

Mark your calendars! Bring your friends and family and celebrate the accomplishments of JFKapnek in Zimbabwe with the JFKapnek Trust's Annual 5K/1K Run/Walk. These races are for children and adults. Creek Kids will form a participating team. We'll put our new CKC t-shirts to good use! There will be live Zimbabwean music along with chidren's crafts and activities. Proceeds from this event will go to the Trust's efforts to diminish the impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic on the children and families of Zimbabwe. The fee includes brunch and a t-shirt.

Prices: 5K Registration - Adults - $30 / 5K for children under 18 years - $15 / Kids 1K Race - $10

We have CKC Tshirts for sale!

It's so fun to see Creek Kids wearing them! They're so good looking. Please let us know if you'd like to purchase a tshirt for your child. They're $12 and come in two different styles: beefy tees and a slightly more fitted cut. See the photos and text below for sizing guidance. If you order this week, you'll receive your t-shirts by the Kapnek Race on April 13th. By the way, this is not a fundraiser for CKC. Just to give you some visuals and guide sizing: The sizes come in youth: 6-8, 10-12, 14-16, and then adult S-M-L-XL. Alex is in 5th grade and probably average size (although not average in charm and intelligence!). I usually wear an adult M, and I fit into both M and L.

Eva is wearing the Beefy T. She is a petite 5th grader. Sizes come in youth 6-8, 10-12 (Alex fits into 10-12), 14-16, and then adult S-M-L-XL. Most of the high school girls are ordering adult smalls.
